Disappointed

I honestly thought this was going to be a fun site for sharing info and debating, discovering opinions and so on but the more I visit the more "closed shop" it appears to be. Messages going to and fro with smudge, netibiza, silly moo, InAPickle (as was), FP, graemer (and his extra wife situation) so I won't forget Robinia - everyone else can join in (unless for some obscure reason they are benned) but no community spirit is shown and the impression I get is I'm intruding on protected ground. I'm sure I will have offended many souls and I am sorry as that is not my intention but it is not nice to feel so excluded from a virtual situation and I felt I needed to give my opinion.

So why are you allowing this question to stay on? Anyone apart from the chosen few, have their answer/ point of view removed from this thread. This question has only made more users feel they are not part of answerbank.

Most of you wont know me, but I was very active in AB at one time. Eventually I learnt that this site is not for making friends or chatting. The owners dont want this. Its their right to run it as they wish. I always thought it was such a pity because AB could be terrific in many respects. I joined 3 Yahoo groups and "socialise" that way. I use AB for convenience like I use Google. I look for questions that interest me and If I happen to see something I want to respond to I do. I hear many members trying to fight the system and its all pointless. The owners will not change their minds.
