I have been living with a nasty creased dent in the rear passenger side of my Micra as it is not really economic to repair ( the Book Value is about equivalent to cost of new panel ). Would it be viable to get a complete Body Panel from a Scrap Yard ( if I could get one in the right colour )?

You mean the rear quarter?  I take it that it isn't a door panel but the actual part of the bodyshell?

If you are describing this then then only way to remove it is to cut it out and then do the same with yours.  This would be very timely and costly so it would be cheaper to fill the dent and then get it resprayed.  Ask a bodyshop for a quote of just filling it and either paint match or panel respray.
