Filled up windows messenger with what??
If you are using Windows XP or Vista it is VERY easy to set up a Windows account for yourself, and another Windows account for grandchildren or other family members.

If YOU want to use Windows you log on to YOUR account which has YOUR details and YOUR setings.

Other people (your granddaughters) can log on to THEIR account and use THEIR settings and THEIR programs.

By separating Windows accounts like this whatever your other family members do on THEIR logons should not effect YOUR computer settings.

If you want details of how to create separate user accounts on Windows just ask.

If you setup multiple accounts on Windows then when you start Windows you will get a screen similar to this

You could protect YOUR logon with a password, so nobody can log on as you.

You can also set up other users as "limited users" which would stop them downloading and installing programs (and also accidently instaling viruses, spyware etc).

The great thing is, if they totally corrupt their account you can just delete their Windows account (which deletes all their personal files and maybe any viruses they have downloaded) and then recreate it again.

Doing this will not effect YOUR account.

For anyone sharing a machine it is always avisable to create a separate Windows account for other users to use to stop them accidently causing problems with your account.

thank for your reply vhg,
they do have a seperate password.but how do i empty their messages theres hundreds of them
Are you sure your talking about windows messenger? and not hotmail (the microsoft email service)

if it's hotmail then look at the top of the column of tick boxes and there is another tick box that selects all mails on that page so you can delete a page at a time.
