I live in South Wales, Uk and recently there's been an extremely bright star in the sky each night.... and no others. What's the name of the star?

I asked the same question a few days ago and was advised it could either be Venus or Jupiter.

Omg Venus!!! that's fantastic! Thanks guys!
and Jupiter is there too
The cast is assembling, Debenhams have chucked out, it could get amusing on here after Ant 'N Dec the noo.
I do think it is interesting that so many people have asked this question in recent months, there must be a reason why this planet is shining so brightly, i haven't noticed it quite so bright, and I know Jupiter is also easily seeable with the naked eye, it is surely unusual to be able to see two planets shining like this.
I only noticed it last week when there was no cloud cover. Which doesn't happen very often round these here parts.
