Sir Alex Ferguson, who memorably guided Manchester United to the Treble in 1999, thinks not. Although his Manchester United side sit top of the Prem, in the last 16 of the Champions League, in the Carling Cup Final, still in the FA Cup and are holders of the World Club Cup,

The scot played down United's chance of getting their hands on every bit of silver avaliable.

"It would be very difficult to do that, You would need the luck and you would need to keep all your players fit. If we keep everyone fit then, yes, we'd have a chance. When you're in a competition, you've got to try to win it and, as long as you're still in that competition, you've got a chance. What we have done well recently is that we've had a lot of injuries but the squad has compensated and whatever team I have picked the players have just got on with it. But, realistically, I don't see it."

i see ladbrokes are offering 14-1 on it now, the league and league cup are virtual certainties, i can only see barcelona challenging them in the CL, the fa cup you can never be sure about but overall i think it is a distinct possibility

good for the game? if they do it fair play to them i say that as a liverpool fan, they are the standard bearers for everyone else right now.
Agreed Bob. Fair play if they do pull it off. Champions league and FA cup are the stumbling blocks. As well as unforseen injuries as well. Rooney will be back soon, so they have every chance.

14/1 is good odds and i might just have a dabble. But if i'm honest i can see the champions league eluding them

hello toonmilo

It is good to see the sports section back as part of the main site again isn't. Good to know that all our calls for it to be restored did not fall entirely on deaf ears.
bob....somehow I thought that you were an Aston Villa supporter.
Liverpool eh! I remember the days that Case an Heighway would add width and pace to a Liverpool attack, but now......Kuyt, lacks skill and pace, sounds odd I know, but they have lost their "cutting edge"
Best of luck anyway.
