Wait - I'm actually wrong - the last verse is -

Maybe tomorrow, I'll find what I call home
Until tomorrow, you know I'm free to roam.

Sorry for wasting everyone's time...!

Go Hobo!

Best lyrics.

Dire Straits Brothers In Arms.

Its just so deep.

Eupraxia

I love the lyrics in Creep by Radiohead

When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so f**king special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I'm not around
You're so f**king special
I wish I was special

Red Hot Chili Pepper, californication

The sun may rise in the East
At least it settles in the final location
It's understood that Hollywood
sells Californication

Pay your surgeon very well
To break the spell of ageing
Celebrity skin is this your chin
Or is that war your waging

The choruse is a bit random but im sure is has some cool, deeper meaning that im just not getting. does it mean anything?

muse: Thoughts of a dying atheist

Scares the hell out of me.

that its just so amazing i dont have enough superlatives for it. what an ingenious and orignal idea yet so true. truly incredible song.

Wow, the Littlest Hobo. That brings back some memories. One of my friends said when he was little he used to cry at the end when the littlest hobo ran off down the road. I love this site. Cheers people.
Sorry to take up more space but I've found this page with the Littlest Hobo Lyrics. http://www.cfhf.net/lyrics/littlest.htm

I have two sets of lyrics - both the Smiths:

"How Soon is Now?"

There's a club, if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home, and you cry
And you want to die

I also love the smugness of "That Joke isn't Funny Anymore"

It was dark as I drove the point home
And on cold leather seats
Well, it suddenly struck me
I just might die with a smile on my face after all...

That's Hobo style........I love it!

It is a fab song and a fab programme, and I used to cry too at the end and I'm now off to look for it on ebay......

Either when Bowie sings "I absolutely love you" in Absolute Beginners or in Counting Crows 'Anna Begins' when he says "Everytime she sneezes I believe it's love".

No hang on, those four amazing lines at the end of Jeff Buckley's 'Lover you should've come over', all beginning with "it's never over...". Beautiful x

Forgive me, what I was trying to say was Morrissey, stuff like...burn down the disco, burn the blessed DJ, because the music they constantly play, it says nothing to me about my life, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, hang the DJ, and the brilliant...everyday is like sunday, everyday is silent and grey, this is the coastal town that they forgot to close down, come armageddon, come armageddon, come...

I'm with BoroughGal on this one, 'How Soon is Now' lyrics.

Also George Michael's 'Jesus to a Child':

'With your last breath you saved my soul'

i can think of a few off the top of my head:-

"soon i'm thirty, i only went with your mother cause she's dirty" kinky afro by the happy mondays:

"sweetness, sweetness i was only joking when i said i'd like to smash every tooth in your head" bigmouth strikes again by the smiths:

"fat, broke, bald, armed and angry, you left me flat all alone i'm a pancake" au bord de la seine by evan dando:

"we were at a party, his ear lobe fell in the deep! someone reached in and grabbed it, was a rock lobster!" rock lobster by the B52's:

and then of course there's a boy named sue by johnny cash:- "so i gave you that name and i said goodbye, i knew you'd have to get tough or die and it's that name that helped to make you strong"
oh and the smiths, almost anything by them has pretty decent lyrics
