Clearing Cheques

Is it possible to get a cheque cleared quicker than normal at halifax? Im paying it in tomorrow but could do with at least some of the money before the weekend really. Also is there a charge if it can be done? Thanks in advance.

normally you can 'Express' a cheque but this means that they send the cheque directly to the bank for clearance. the charge for this varies between banks but expect between �10 and �30.
