When my son was very young he used to ask for chicken with a handle. He meant chicken legs. He called pound coins fat pennies. When upset once he told me that he had been in his bedroom and cried both his eyes out. I miss all that now he has grown up. Anyone like to tell me what their little ones are saying please?

One of mine used to say nins and peedles (instead of pins and needles obviously!!) But actually a few years on we still say it as we think it sounds better.
My daughter, who is now 14, used to call spaghetti hoops, hooky beans. Last night as a treat I did her spaghetti hoops on toast, when she came down to get it she was so excited to have her hooky beans again.

Another thing she would say is "what are you doing of?" something that I still say to her, because I used to like it when she said it.

Yep I miss it too now.
Our daughter at about 15years old had been out for evening and came into our room to tell us all about her exciting evening . Her exact words were..........And then they went and gone and did..... we still use it today to tease her ( she is grown up and a married lady now.) TOP TIP to you parents of little ones...write the sayings down they are so easily forgotten
Tooshies (tissues).
1 of my sons used to say zeezees fro shoes - no idea why

An acquaitance told me her son told her that his friend had fallen over and was crying bigly
My 5 year old daughter was lying on the couch with a pillow on her head. I asked what was wrong and she said 'My heads got tummy ache!'
our son called shoes go-goes prob cos I was always shouting to hurry up. Go ! go!
my 3 year old daughter used to spend ages 'looking for her manners', as i used to say to her 'where are your manners?' if she didnt excuse herself etc! bless her!
My little one says Pindles and needles for pins and needles, calls a cucumber a cubuner, and gets a bit cross if you try and correct him. and had a little run in with one of his friends and told him.. You make my breathe hurt!!
