Hi anyone know of any places that transfer old 8mm film to DVD. I have one place I know of but the prices seem a bit steep. So I wish to shop around. thanks

Best thing to do here is, buy a DVD camcorder and a Cine transfer screen, we've done it and it works a treat. Have a root around on ebay, you might be able to pick something up there.

funny you should ask, ive just been on a similar search myself, trying to convert 8mm film to dvd. i found a brilliant place that does it for 4 a go; the company name is Arrow Video, and is based in Great Dunmow, Essex, although i sent them my 8mm films as i live quite a way from there. contact number is 01371879002, well worth doing!!
