In the week when certain members of the Royal family stand accused of causing offence to a couple of our ethnic minorities, a story such as this appears.

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/art s_and_entertainment/tv_and_radio/article551228 9.ece

Yet does this hit the headlines? no.

Do our politicians make any comments? No.

I am getting rather sick of this one sided approach regarding the act of causing an offence.

This is what offends me, but does anyone do anything about it? No.

The fact that the indigenous population of these isles are the only ones that must constantly stand accused of causing some offence to peoples who are, or who's parents/grandparents are not native of these shores.

The ever increasing building of Mosques, that is slowing turning our once 'green and pleasant land' into a landscape more befitting the middle east.

Seeing that our Queen is the head of the church of England, perhaps now she should be able to retaliate and state that she is offended by this story.

I only saw that programme once, and that woman needs a slap in the face? ;o)

LoftyLottie - she made a woman cry last night.

The one I saw was where the couple ran the country house as a retirement home. I remarked to Mr LL how dreadful the woman was. She was being extremely rude and offensive to a lovely, caring couple. Horrible, hard faced woman.

(We can't go on meeting like this on this thread :o) - Have you posted anything yet in the Tele Section?)
Zacmaster you may want to ask the person who sent that e-mail to say what "Our Pledge, Our National Motto" are. Being the British patriot that he or she is, that'll be no problem I'm sure...
I'd like to know as well TCL, but I've a feeling it IS going to be a problem.
Hang on...I've just clocked something.

That email is cobbled together from an open letter that an Australian politician sent out!

That's why it mentions 'national pledge' and 'national motto'.

We don't have a national pledge or motto in the UK.
yes, that is an Australian email (it may have come from the USA even before that, I don't know). I've seen it before.

I am deeply offended by people smuggling in Australian emails to take work away from our own sturdy British emails. Our once green and pleasant land is starting to look like the Nullarbor*. Zacsmaster, explain yourself!

*Nullarbor - not an aboriginal word; it's Latin for 'no trees'. Aborigines are deeply offended by the importing of ancient Roman words. Etc.
saw on TV a cricket match on TV Pakistan v India.
On a Bed sheet the supporters had written "**** Power" as I suppose Pakistani Power would not fit easily.
I am deeply offended...........
