I have just cut my own fringe & am quite pleased with the result. Does anyone cut their own hair & been pleased or had disastrous results?

I've had many disasterous results from hairdressers cutting my hair, but last night I feather cut into my fringe and it looks ok too.
O h god my hubby once cut my fringe 10 mins before we left for airport, i looked completly simple lol!!!!
lol @ devil
It does give you that 'surprised' look eh

I do cut my own fringe and its ok cos its curly
OMG! I had to reply to this post! I do cut my fringe every few months and over the course of a few days because I never get it right. I know its through me having very low self esteem and I just wish I could break the cycle of me cutting my fringe. Iv'e managed to stop for now as I look like a freak! But in a few months something stupid could trigger it off and i'm cutting again.I even started to go to Toni and guy in an attempt to stop me from cutting it, due to the cost of going there. It worked for a bit but well. Please I urge anyone not to do it as the results can be devastating. I have to wait now for it to grow before I can go to the hairdressers as it is far too short. Its so choppy , it does not look right straight down or to the side and the rest of my hair is just pastmy shoulders. Only this moring when in my car and stuck in traffic I was thinking of how long I had to wait before it will grow. Has anyone else cut their hair through low self esteem like me? And have you stopped it now or is it still happening?Sorry for such a long reply and its probably not an answer what you was looking for but I just wanted to warn you how bad things can getx
I'm LMAO @ devil!

I've never ever cut my own hair, the results of my hard work on my Barbie's was enough for me not to go near it LOL.

I don't have a fringe now though, haven't for a good 15 years.

Oh Molly sorry to hear about that. I think I had beginners luck. You've put me off attempting it in future!! Things you do to say a few quid. Have you tried clipping it back or wearing a headband??
Sunnies !!!

Keeping your hair back is what sunnies are for.

It's a nuisance when it's actually sunny, cos then you need a second pair to wear over your eyes.
i often cut my own hair, 8 hair scissors from boots...bargain!!
