Just because a Time Lord has only 13 bodies doesn't mean the BBC will end the series when the 13th actor wants to leave the role. The series will continue for as long as it is popular.
The whole reason for a regeneration in the first place was so that the series could continue with a different actor in the lead role.
The Master was granted a whole new life cycle, having used up his 13 bodies many years ago. Something similar for the Doctor is easy to write into a Sci-fi series such as Doctor Who.
I thought Matt Smith was very good in Party Animals. I am certainly not young myself but I think it will be good to have someone young and relatively unknown to TV taking over from the brilliant David Tennant.

By the way, I have been reading excellent write ups by theatre critic in paper today re his stage credits so Matt is obviously recognised as being talented by those "in the business".

Good luck Matt, I look forward to seeing your interpretation of the Doctor.
