I posted this on an earlier thread but no-one responded so I am trying again.
38a could be Jensen or Jenson if 31d is Weiss. I don't have the latest Chamber's as I hope to win it by entering these crossword comps! If anyone has a copy with the lists of fonts could you please confirm the correct entries?
dr b,
Many thanks. If only I had learned to click on 'Next 8>' !
I won't make that mistake again.

Thank you very much, dr b, for your insights! I, too, am puzzled by 38A ( JENSON ) and 31D ( WEISS ). Still tryin to find the rationale for these answers. And am still stuck on 17A: I?BE?L
Would be happy to get some hints!
Thanks in advance!

Further checks on Google reveal that thre are 3 family fonts: JENSON, WEISS and ISBELL...So, I guess tat answers my question for 17A., 38A and 31D...
Am new to Spectator Xwd (started with 1891). Challenging but rewarding!
However, I'm stuck with the Font type at 13 D in 1895.

I have _O_A_E_E

I don't have hard copy of latest Chambers so rely on online sources.

Would like to get answer in next 12 hours.
The only one I can see to fit your pattern is 'Novarese'
Thanks Lie-in King. I subsequently found 'Novarese' in a previous post, and having confirmed it in an online source, have to assume it's in Chambers 2008.
Hi! Sorry, I don't have the puzzle, but I do have the book - Xmas prezzie! :-)
