I am about to get married in August and want to start trying for a baby soon but don't really know when a good time would be. i am currently taking the pill and don't know when i should stop taking it. This is really affecting me at the moment as i am desperate to have my own child. My partner has a child by another women and i find it hard as i really want us to have a baby together. Are there any suggestions on when i should start trying?

You should start trying when you are both ready to start trying.. if that is now then go for it, but don't let it be the be all and end all of it. It will happen when the time is right
I got pregnant 2 weeks after coming off the pill because if you try as soon as you come off it you're sometimes super fertile. So unless you want a maternity wedding dress I would be a bit careful if you stop taking it now!

I've never been 'told off' or whatever by the GP or midwife for trying straight away and not all of them say you should wait. I think most guidelines say to leave 3 months just to get your own natural cycle going. I think the average time to conceive is 3 to 6 months (this is not specifically after coming off the pill) but obviously you never know how it will happen for you. Good luck! And whatever you do never have the contraceptive injection because that can affect your fertility and stop your periods for years.
I have 2 children and fell pregnant both times within 2 months of coming off the pill. You don't have children and no 2 women are the same so it is impossible to judge how long it will take. I would suggest coming off the pill whenever you are ready to start trying for a family. I would also suggest taking folic acid tablets as this is an excellent vitamin for expectant mothers.
