The referee missed it or he would have been red carded. Rooney made quite a few unsporting 'tackles' last night.

I am a Man U fan, but agree that a retropective ban should be made.

There were a couple of vicious challenges by Rooney last night. I am surprised the officials missed them. Michael Essien received a retrospective ban a couple of years back for a nasty challenge on Didi Hamman. I think Shrek can expect the same.

Funny how his manager keeps telling us that his players (Ronaldo especially) need better protection from referees, yet condones Rooney's vile behaviour.
