Good evening all. Just wondered how many of you go out and buy new clothes for Christmas? Do you get all partied up for those three days, or just sling on the tried and tested gladrags?

Well I don't know how old you are - but it sounds as if they've lasted well if you haven't bouhgt any since. : )
Hi stranger!!.....I used to get dressed up for Christmas.....especially nice after the slaving over the stove.....but can't be bothered anymore. Besides-I am way too hungry!!...and there is the grease on clothes worry!
I used to, but I got so fed up with fussing about getting them dirty or creased that I just sorta stopped. Nowadays I figure Christmas Day is, among other things, a day when I can chill out and do just what I like. And that includes wearing my scuzziest jeans and my sloppiest jumpers.
I still get dressed up, new clothes, make up, and lay the table really nicely, and do three courses, but I do wonder if it is worth the effort, when it's only me, hubby, my girls and sometimes his son! Think the kids would rather eat just choccies, and skip dinner all together...

I know the feeling. I don't particularly go out to buy any new stuff, but I make an effort. Then, with crazy string down me, and various spillages...I wonder if it's all been worth it!

Hi pasta. x
I always have, even if I'm by myself! lol
A couple of years, I cooked myself a whole xmas dinner with all the trimmings, and dressed up too. Of course, I was going out afterwards, but still..
This year, I'm going home for the first time in 3 years for xmas, so I WILL be dressing up! I haven't seen my mum, step dad and bro for 2 years, so I think it calls for some effort! :O)
That's lovely, max, hope you have a great time!! :-)

Good for you, max - and i bet you'll have a fantastic time. xx

Hey Icey -hasnt rained for past 3 yrs but we wouldnt mind at all even if it did as we dont do Christmas as a family -better in Spain -more relaxed and no commercialism -plus lovely being in your second home.
