I used to love coffee, especially cappuccino.

Unfortunately, I was told told to give up coffee & any other caffeine based foods/drinks, after a second duodenal ulcer was diagnosed.

I must admit that after only one cup/mug of coffee, it used to make my heart race, but then I do have an irregular heartbeat anyway.

I now have only one mug of tea first thing in the morning, then water throughout the day!

Same here smudge.  I find it really messes with my head.  I used to have 6 to 8 mugs of black coffee a day.  If I had that much now, I'd be hyperverntilating / panicking all the time lol.

Caffeine also dehydrates you, so drinking plenty of water with it is important.

I don't drink tea or coffee (don't like them) so don't normally have caffeine so I find if I have more than a couple of glasses of coca cola I can't sleep, my body is tired but my mind is wide awake.

Apart from causing insomnia in some, it also retains water and causes blotaedness.  By drinking de-caf products I actually went down a dress size within a month.

Since giving up caffeine( for another unrelated condition) my migraines have been greatly reduced. It took about 6-8 months before I noticed the difference.
