What attracts ants

what attracts ants? basically we have ants in our office and there is a guy who told my manager everything I said to him regarding some issues. like a little school girl. anyway what i want to do is get his desk swarmed with ants. i work night shift so i have plenty of time for covert operations of laying the bait. so tell me please what is it that attracts ants?

And you call that guy a little school girl? Grow up! Tell him what you think of him and then don't waste any more of your time on him, blabbers usually get what's coming to them in the end. He would no doubt tell your manager what you've done and you may find yourself down the road.

usually anything sweet,ie... sugar,honey,syrop etc...(thats not the way to spell syrop is it? sorry im wasted!)

Allow thinned maple syrup to run down the desk legs and then find where else you can put it where it cant be seen. It should also be possible to apply the maple syrup unthinned to the underside of the desk with a small paint brush. once the ants have discovered it you shouldn't have too much of a problem.
