Over 5 months ago I had a dose of shingles across my chest and back, although nothing is now visible I am still getting considerable grie f(pain) fron the areas they showed. All the doctor can do do is give me painkillers which I don't take as I just put up with the grief the shingles give me.Question is,will they go away eventually and how long will it take.bearing in mind it's been over 5 months now?

Research I did when my father suffered from this (& my 11 year old son!!) frequently indicated acupuncture as a treatment with good results.

Good luck.
