Yesterday I had fish & chips, an individual fruit and nut cake with butter icing on it and a chocolate muffin. I am feeling rather ill today not surprisingly. I don't normally eat like this but I off work (and today) and had a bit of an off day and I'm now paying the price. I very rarely have fish & chips and other takeaways and now I know why.

Earlier I went shopping and bought loads of fruit, stirfry veg and loads of other healthy stuff to counteract the naughty stuff.

What do you eat when you're having an off day?

A lump of chesse accompanied by a couple of bags of G&W cheese and onion crisps!

That seems to suffice when I feel like that tigger, it's rare when I do actually go for it, as I am really healthy now, but hey everyone deserves a treat now and again! ;-)

Either that or a great big plate of macaroni or stovies and brown sauce YUM!

Ooooo I love macaroni cheese. What are stovies Roosi?
Everything that is in the house!!!

I dread having a day of work as I cannot control myself!!!
Well, stovies are a traditional scottish dish very yummy they are very brwned onions in a pan along wtih seasoning (plenty) and a dash of lea an perrins, once done add slices of corned beef lots of thinly sliced potato all stacked up in a pan, ending with corned beef. lid on and stem for around 1.5 hours or until tender, then mash, brining all the onions up and through the mix. Splodge some brown sauce on the side, and it's hella good!!

My grandmother used to make me something simliar with cubed potato, corned beef, onions and eggs. Very similar to hash. Yummy.......
Roosi the way you describe sounds a bit off putting.

1 and a half hours steaming, the corned beef would have turned to mush!!!
