the easiest way is with a hammer and bolster chissel - the wider the better so it doesn't dig the wall out.

Depending on wall type/condition of the plaster you may have to re-board or make good to quite an extent.

Lets hope they aren't stuck on well.

Thankyou Toleman, thought this was the only way,so now have put the wife to work on it ?????????????????

Thankyou for your help much appreciated.
buy or hire an sds drill with chisel action and get those suckers off quickly
you will damage the wall/plaster with either method and have to take remedial action anyway

Thankyou terence7556,I fogot to mention to Toleman that the tiles we are taking down are the old shower tiles and we hope to replace the tiles with waterproof boards for the shower walls to be fitted by Bathstore.

Thankyou for your help much appreciated.
Toleman - are you Buenchico??
i don't understand.

Are the tiles on plasterboard or on brick? We found it easier and quicker to rip all the plasterboard out with tiles still on then re-plasterboard and skim..but our walls were only partition walls.
