hire a car in LA, drive inland to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon then up to San Francisco and back down the coast.
Rio, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar. THe weather should be hot in any of these.
What is NW ? Do you mean NZ (New Zealand)?

We can only answer if you tell us want you want to do while you are there.

Spend all day on the beach, or visit historic buildings, or go walking in mountains, or go skiing, or go sailing, or siteseeing or what?

On your own or with others ?

Built up area, or in the middle of nowhere ?

Do you want hot weather or dont you mind ?

He already said he did Vegas !

How about Japan.
Blackpool, Southport, Maryport, Skegness and Hunstanton are nice at that time of year (and certainly different)

I mainly want to chill out but have the options of things to see. I have seen grand canyon , LA and vegas but thanks anyway:-). I have heard good reviews about mexico and Sri lanka
I went to Cancun in Mexico in April (which is only a bit later on) and it was fantastic. I felt like I had been to paradise! The sea is turquoise blue and the sand is light gold, it was perfect. We stayed all inclusive in a Rio hotel and hardly left the complex - I would go back tomorrow! GO
oh yes, quite right, VHG, and LA too. Sorry, munchbunch. In general, though, the west coast should have mild weather at that time of year, California is an enjoyable state to tour, and the coastal drive is very scenic. LA is still the best entry point.

Failing that, weather in Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt should be warm; you can couple beach stays with sightseeing trips.
