I'd like to remind you good folk, of the four stages of life:

You believe in Father Christmas.
You don't believe in Father Christmas.
You are Father Christmas.
You look like Father Christmas.

Of course, if you are a laydee, numbers 3 and 4 don't apply.

Unless you have a bit of trouble with the ... errr ... {ahem} lady beard that sometimes sprouts on us older ladies.

Which charity would you donate to, Imo? Do ya have a special one in mind?
i appeared right on cue after your post mom

hi imhotep
iam a cute irish pixie hey where you get your username from
Question Author
Imo, just to put you in the picture lad ...... pinktwink is my cyber-daughter.

MsEVP is pinktwink's cyber-gran.
Why hello my fairest pinktwink!
Nice to be acquainted with you.
I happen to be mad on Egyptology.Hence my username Imhotep. It means 'the one that comes in peace'.

To answer your question Mrs C,I would donate to Cancer Research and Children in Need (NSPCC,& LATCH).
how about Santa Claus.... where does he fit in?? :-S
well imhtep
if you ever come into money i wouldn't donate to the NSPCC. some of their charity collectors get paid . my biggest difficulty with them is the amount of inappropriate referrals to social services wasting time money etc
well mom what charity would you support????

have you been god enough for santa i havent forgotten you knew about them over 18 sites!!
I actually don't often donate to the NSPCC.Just once in a while thats all.
My main concern is AICR, which stands for Association for International Cancer Research.

To be honest, I'd choose an animal charity ...... but not one of the bigger, well-known ones ...... There's a lady who runs a hedgehog hospital, she only lives about four miles from me, and she has about 90 hogs in her house, garage and shed!

She funds it from her personal cash, and I'd love to be able to help her out financially.

Hubby and I have rescued over 100 animals over the years .... so I guess I'd also give some cash to us! lol.
hedhehog house how cool hope your brother is feelin better
Question Author
Thanks pink. He's very up and down at the mo .... his mouth's still sore, but that's to be expected as he had several stitches in his gums.

We're going away for a couple of nights (Fri and Sat) on a family hol, and he's looking forward to that ...... should cheer him up!

Thanks for asking lass.x
Awww....sorry chappie - i forgot about your brother. he's doing alright is he? brave soul! xx
Question Author
He's doing okay thanks, Ice. The problem is, he's got a severe mental illness and he gets very depressed. He lives on his own (has done since our mum died many years ago) and it's not nice when you feel cr*ppy and you're all alone.

I tried to get him to come and stay at my house for a little while, but he wanted to go back to his flat (I suppose there's no place like home, as the saying goes).

Thanks for asking, doll.x
Would you be going away this Friday and Saturday Mrs C?

If I lived in your area and I won a fair amount of money,I would defintely help out and donate the whole hog of my shared amount.
Oops, did I just make a funny quip then?
;-))
Question Author
Yeah, ya did just make a funny quip Imo ... :o)

That's right, I'm away Fri and Sat night .... to a theme park and zoo, called Flamingoland. I don't expect you' ve heard of it in Wales .....
