I would like (and need to really) lose some weight but I have no motivation to excercise and no will power to stop over eating. I'm currently unemployed so I find myself eating out of boredom which doesn't help either. Has anyone got any tips to help me shift the weight?
Thanks

Hi Eash,

You simply have to just get on wiv it I'm afraid.

Why don't you go for a walk? just a short one at first. Maybe to the end of the road? and then back again. You never know... you may walk a little further.

You will feel good for yourself and that's a good feeling.

Anyone have a dog that needs walking? (providing you're not allergic to them lol)

Or get up and do a thorough house clean.

Regards to eating because of boredom? Clean your teeth and use a strong mouthwash. That'll put you off because you'll be minty fresh lol

Put a picture of a pig on the fridge... that helps too.....

Whats stopping you going for a walk right now?

Regards.

Luxury.

Take small steps for long term gain, set yourself some targets with rewards - and I don't mean a pig out!

Join some sports clubs, buy a healthy cook book and find an exercise you enjoy that you can improve upon. Starting to loseg weight and healthy living leads to motiviation of its own when results develop, so you need to take that first step.
no offence intended lol xxx

I'm off to walk the dog.

First of all, don't call it a diet. You've now decided to eat sensibly and healthily so as not to be independant on tablets and their side-effects later on life. To do this you need a plan but you go there slowly by changing certain habits like skimmed milk instead of semi, reducing upto cutting out sugar in teas and coffees, more white meat and fish than red meat, etc
Exercise puts a lot of people off but if you take a walk around the block, you'll feel how much fitter & happier you feel. You'll even look forward to it. Quick walks are a good and free way of keeping fit.
Good luck!

Get a Gym Membership.

If Mauel can do it so can you.
Buy Slimming World magazine , there are loads of inspirational stories in there. I've recently lost over 1 and a half stone on their diet - you can eat loads but it obviously has to be the right food!!

Go on, do it - you'll feel fab when you've lost some weight
