Ok in gaming section somehow we've got onto what the best seller will be at xmas this year. In paper yesterday they reckoned Rubiks cube will be. Now I dont know whether I was strange but I cant remember ever wanting something my mates had I always asked for drawing things for xmas. Maybe a Tomy tronic but they were never best sellers. So who always had to have the toy of the year and what was it?

I did get some fab things though, which I never really appreciate at the time like:

3D Viewfinder with ET slides
Lights Alive
Fashion Wheel
Operation
Keepers
Glo-Worm
Sindy House
Cricket Doll

I also had a calculator that looked like an old man with a moustache!!

I don't remember really being aware of whether any of these things were as popular as the Tellytubby dolls or Buzz Lightyear, and if if anybody else had them. I think they were all suprises

I had lights alive, and still got my fashion wheel and cricket doll is still hidden in mums toy cupboard how creepy was that thing
I simply had to have the latest Barbie.

But I did go through a faze of My Little Pony and skippets (the one that counted how many skips you did!) Loved that!
Another thing that I used to get for christmas were small clear plastic purses with a little doll inside with it's own little brush and comb. Things like that meant more to me than the big expensive presents. When my daughter got a new plastic PE bag the smell just brought back all the memories.
Ohhh anyone remembers Keepers? I had the snail! I was chuffed because I could break into it without the key!
Oh god, I LOVED the smell of my old PE bag!! When it was new though obviously! Lol!

Yes, Cricket was a freaky little madame indeed. I lost interest in her quite quickly, as she wasn't a baby and I never quite new what her purpose was in my life!
