I dream on a regular basis nad they are not very pleasant. They have the same theme for a while then something will happen for real and my dreams change. The is one thing in my dreams that tie them together and that's my screams!!! In all of my dreams i cannot scream. All that comes out of my mouth is just a gargling sound! I'm generally a level headed person that deals with stress quite well, so what's the significance in all this and how can i stop my dreams? (just a footnote, i do not eat heavy meals before i go to bed, i do not eat lots of cheese and i don't drink! )

I'm sometimes the same, but the whole level-headedness thing can be the cause - sometimes your tension can only come out in your sleep and let's face it we know very little about what is going on in our subconscience. Have read somewhere that it's quite useful to write down worries/tasks on paper before bed so you feel you've got them "out" before falling asleep, but basically that's probably just the way you deal with your waking life.

Thank you both. I too get woken up by my husband, tartan. He did not use to wake me up, he thought my "moans" was one of enjoyment. I put him right on that!! As far as writing the worries of the day down at the end of the day....well as far as i'm concerned i haven't got any. If something frustrates me during the day i generally open my mouth and say so. If not i take it out on the old man. Next best thing. But thanx any way.
my girlfriend tried to help me by buying me a dream catcher, i laughed, it helped... good luck & sweet dreams.
