Whatever happened to?

A while ago I saw a documentary about a freelance presenter / reporter who had made many programmes for T.V. Basically he had lost his partner to cancer and in his grief had neglected his responsibilities and fell into debt. I think the debt started off at something like 5k and turned into 50k and he was having his house repossessed. Does anyone remember this and maybe give some info as to what he is doing and what happened?

Hi, Stan. You're talking, I think, about the marvellous broadcaster (on radio more than TV), Ray Gosling. There's plenty on Google about him. I saw him on TV recently and his talent and humour have not deserted him, and I think he's working. Hope this helps.
