Any electricians out there? my microwave all of a sudden will not work. It is one with twisty knobs, that make a DING sound when the time is up. They still go round, and the DING noise still happens, but the microwave doesn't go on. Any ideas? Plus, if I do need to take it to an electrician - where do i find the appropriate one?

Try the adverts in your local paper.  That's where I found a local "little man" who listened about my microwave problem, then fixed it quickly and cheaply.
I hate to admit that we live in a throwaway culture...

but if your Microwave is a dinging twisty-knob model, it will likely be much cheaper to buy a new one - instead of getting it repaired.

Comet have them at prices starting at 24!
