Best way to lose weight?

I'm 5'5 and 12 stone people say I don't look it but the fact is I am! And I hate it! I eat 3 times a day drink loads of water and go swimming 3 times a week yet I still weigh loads!
I don't snack excessively and eat salad of vet at least once a day!
What can I do to shift it??

I am 5'5 and nearly 11 and that gets me down as I dont eat loads really and I exercise, so cant imagine how you must feel. I dont feel big but know I am overweight. Have you tried seeing a doctor about your weight issues to see if it is anything to do with anything other than your lifestyle?

Yeah i went to see a doc and he seemed to thinki was fit and well! He just said its prob down to my build? Ive got chunky legs but they are solid and ive also got quite large boobs so i guess thats what he was getting at! Its just a bit annoyning! Not nice weighing 2 stone more than your fella!!
I've always thought of it as just a number and as you said could be down to your boobs, maybe thats why I;m a stone less at 5'5, I wasnt blessed in that department :-) As long as you feel ok and are toned and in proportion who cares.
I am 5ft 3in, and i weighed 12 stone, i did the paul mckenna programme, i can make you thin. It worked!!!!! I went down to 8 stone 12 lb!! Without exercising too much, and found after a while i was so chilled out when following this plan. Its not a diet just a change of thinking.
Its worth it, you do need willpower tho!
You can buy the book alone from ebay, or whsmiths with the cd. Or the full programme off ebay, they do still sell it sometimes on qvc... But ebay will be cheaper.
Didnt take too long either, lost about 1-2 lb a week, more as i lost more weight. Give it a go!!!!! Just remember its not a diet!! So stop thinking like your on a diet, weird at first but it really really works!! Good luck xx

Do you know what your BMI is? Although it is not always indicative of your health it can help you decide if you should lose weight or if you want to remain at 12st.
Just because you hold a few extra lbs does not make you unhealthy

It maybe that you don't eat enough? Many people think eating less will help them lose weight and whilst this will initially help, after a while your body will go into starvation mode (aka famine mode) and hold onto every little bit of food it can ergo you can't shift anymore weight.
A radical change in your diet could help. For example if you usually eat cereal for breakfast try eggs on toast instead - low fat spread or none at all if you can - with a small glass of orange juice.

So did i but this number just seems to be growing!! Im not as toned as i should be either! I haven�t changed anything and I actually do more exercise than I used to but my clothes just keep getting tighter and tighter!!
her BMI would be same as mine, I should weigh a max 10lbs 10 at 5,5.
It annoys me too, my mates say well what are you eating.. I couldnt eat any less if I tried, I'd be starving myself. And when I exercise it just seems getting muscles and toned puts more on the scales

My bmi is to high and my body fat etc...according to the scales in boots!! Im 2stone over weight etc
Without wishing to sound rude, how old are you?
This may have a contributing factor as well
I dont understand BMI really, it checks height and weight but doesnt really account for big knockers does it

No BMI doesnt take in account Big Boobs! Maybe i should weigh them and id find out how light i really am! HAHA!!
but then are your boobs big because of your weight? But then that would make me a size 8 lol

Try keeping a food diary.....write down everything.....and I do mean EVERYTHING-that you eat....do this for at least a week. You may be ingesting more food and calories than you think.......often it is those little bites of things and drinks that can sabotage an otherwise healthy diet.Tesco also do a Healthy Living Diet Tracker (think that is what it is called)....it is free-unlike the diet. It will look at what you eat and help you choose better food options on a daily basis,all based on info such as your weight and lifestyle.
Forget: muscle weighs more than fat-so you must be doing ok!
