Hi all fello ABers

Is it possible to change a contract phone down to payg. I have just got out of an 18 month contract with 3 mobile so currently have no phone. If i buy a payg sim, will it enable me to use the same phone (its a nokia 6233) on payg or will it not work.

Thanks. sd

simple and quick answer yes

Just stick another sim in the phone and away you go

The only thing that may be a stumbling block is if the phone is locked to one service provider, this shouldn't really be an issue as most contract phones are open to be used with any provider. if it is locked contact your old provider who you had the contract with and they will unlock it for you.

My daughter gave me her 3 phone when her contract ran out. She rang 3, paid 15 and they gave her a code to open it for any sim. I am now using o2 pay as you go.
