hi there last xmas i received a phone on contract with T Mobile.This contract runs out in 2 months, but i am new to this contract business i only ever had PAYG. Anyway someone said that i could get an upgrade after the 12 months minimum contract and then cancel. Is this true??as I dont want the contract any more.

No, to get an upgrade you have to commit to a further contract of 12 or 18 months.

A free upgrade phone comes at the beginning of a new contract rather than at the end of an old one.
