My son (10) has gone on a two day camping trip with his school, the house feels really empty..... Funny isn't it how you often wish for peace and quiet and when you get it you hate every minute of it. Roll on Friday!!!
Hi Hellie, hope all is well, what you said is so true, we don't what we have till it goes, then we want it back. enjoy the time you have to your self, then you can enjoy the company of him when he gets back, even more than before the house went quiet for a few days. xx
Hiya knobby, sure am only cos it's the lovely hellie though, hope you are well and looking forward to getting hitched, not long now is it? I haven't been on here much lately. take it easy matey.
BradPlantpot - company would be nice but my Mr Hellyon gets home at 7.30 so you'd better get here quick lol!
Hi Ray - I know he'll be having a lovely time but I guess it's fighting nature for a Mum to feel comfortable when her son is miles from anywhere, in a field with nothing to separate him from the elements but a thin layer of canvas!!!!
Thanks Bimbo - I've raided the choccie box and feel better already!
i know how you feel ..my 2 boys went a way the other week i was so lost with out them ...im dreading what its going to be like when they leave home for good when they are older ...:(
Hellie you are a proper mum, stop worrying, lol, he will be having the time of his life and will come back so full of what he has been up to, it's a great time for them isn't it, but when they first start with the independence bit it is very worrying, the weather is great, so enjoy the break, take care, Ray xx
Sleepy - I'm an older Mum, when I was younger I always used to think my friends were nuts when they got depressed about their kids leaving home. Now I have my son I'm dreading the day .....
Aw Hellyon, make the most of it! I can well imagine how odd an empty house must feel, though. It kind of makes your home doesn't it, all that hubbub of family life?
sleepy - I'm 50 this year and my son is 10 - so it will have to be a puppy for me I'm afraid. Mind you if he goes to Uni I'll be 60 so perhaps I'll retire and enrol as a mature student, not very cool for the poor boy LOL!
