I got an email there - saying there were 184 pornographic images of naked women on my site. Somebody was able to get them onto my computer - I had to go through a process to get rid of them but they would not go - then the site asked did I want to "bookmark" them. I said yes hoping they would go away. What have I done

You're kidding right?

You've probably just downloaded spyware to your computer. If you find you have problems with pop-ups or slowdown over the next feww weeks, visit http://www.lavasoft.com and download the free version of Adaware to shift it.

NEVER click on links or download things from people you don't know.

thanks square bear - no I am not kidding. However I had to click onto the b y thing and ok it because it would not go off the screen.

I do have AVG free virus on so would it be right (if I needed to) to download your lavasoft
Yes that's fine. If Adaware doesn't shift it, another good one to try is "Spybot Search and Destroy". Google should be able to provide you with a link.

Just double click on it my friend and it will guide you through scanning your PC.
