It's nothing to worry about, Bottom, lots of women have what is called a retroverted uterus, which simply means that it has more of a backward tilt than a "normal" uterus. When you go for your next smear, or just to the doctor's for whatever reason, ask the doctor to explain and put your mind at rest xx
I too have a retroverted uterus, it causes no problems in life apart from when I have a smear I have to get into the most peculiar positions for the nurse to be able to seemy cervix. One time I had to arch my back and raise one leg over my head against the wall..
I did have a problem with not being able to go into labour naturally. I have 4 kids and each time had to be induced at 42/43 weeks. That may just be me though. Why not ask your nurse?
