Hi Mirella sweetheart how are you. I only won a tenner, I really wanted CONTRABAND to win because I had it backed to win on �1 at 250 to one ! Ahh well.
Yesterday Tilly and I went out for lunch and then to Sea Life. In the evening we went to see my Mum as it is her birthday today and we took presents over singing the Beatles song "When I'm 64". I had a drink with my Mum and I thus fell off the wagon but in a "controlled environment "I am suffering a little with it this morning however. She was a little upset since both of my brothers had not even so much as sent her a card. She even thought that I had forgot, God Bless Her ! She was pleased with all the presents we had carefully and lovingly chosen for her and even more happy with a new purse from Next with a wad of money in it lol !
Tilly, I think is going horse riding today but has jacked the Chinese School this week because she says she doesnt like the teacher - he is too strict. I cant really blame her since I thought it was all good fun for her and I dont beleive that strictness should be an issue on a Sunday because she is having a hard enough time as it is at school with her SATS exams etc.
If she is going horse riding, I suspect I will continue to de-clutter my house for the VAN boot sale I plan to have.
Hey Beejay. It isnt snowing here, I had simply left my windows open all night for fresh air, thats why it was freezing when I got up.

aww, katie , thats sweet for your mum's birthday, i spoke to my family yesterday as well, my dad , mum and sister are all living in different cities, but they all together yesterday in same place, save me to call 3 times lol, they are looking forward for me and gravy home this year.
gravy's mate moved in yesterday, we have been watching video they made last year when they went to south america, lots crazy moment, i was going with gravy yet that time, otherwise id in the video as well heheh.
if learning chinese just for a hobbie, i wouldnt blame tilly about the strictness, she sounds like a very lively girl :) x

Hi Mirella. I have just read your post from yesterday morning. Yes they were, by all accounts the correct spellings, I dont know what they mean but I have the chinese new year burned on to a disc, when I find out how to put it on You Tube or something I will post you the thread. I have a Polish friend coming over at 10 to sort out my washing machine that wont empty water and my dishwasher. I managed to change the fuse but it still wont fill up with water and the thought of having to wash a weeks worth of dishes is terrifying me.
I have never been to Hong Kong but with luck we may go next year. This years holidays are all booked up and we are going on a BIG holiday in October -a once in a lifetime thing, we are off to New York, going up to Niagra Falls, back down to Up State New York to the Mountains to Snow Tube and then sailing back on the Queen Mary 2. I have been direct debiting �150 a month for nearly 2 years to pay for it lol. We almost have a full wardrobe now to go with and I am going to do LOTS of shopping when in New York too (does anyone know if there is a Primark there lol)
When we get back I may book for Hong Kong, it will be a thrill I am sure and just think ALL THAT SHOPPING.
I have travelled quite extensively through life and Hong Kong is next on the list. After that, then Austrailia and after that I want to buy a Canal Boat to live on. Then if I upset my neighbours, I can just sail on !

hikatie im in leeds now. wow , your holiday sounds cool, just imaging the shopping in NYC. you and gravy really can be good mates, hes been traveling lots and he got the idea to get a boat to live on the river in leeds as well!!!! my new job about travel money service, i may can be expert to give u advice about the currency by the time ur holiday:)))

i gonna so food shopping with our new lodger, then do my driving lesson, after go to town for a chinese buffet with few people i met from a chinese forum, heheh, i never met them before, think they take their kids along, gonna be a big family meeting lol im considering about baby this year, so go to make some new friends and get some pre baby education hehhehe. xxxx

I love Leeds. I used to drink there with some friends I met in Spain when I was 17 (I am 40 now) they lived in Kippax and Castleford.
The last time I went was about 4 years ago with a boyfriend, we had a rocking time and went to a lovely chinese restaurant just by the Casino about 5 minutes in taxi from the Holiday Inn Hotel.
