Do you have a sort of, favourite song that didn't quite make it? You know, one that you thought should have been a massive hit but never was? One of mine is
Marys' Prayer by Danny Wilson. I always thought that would be a mega hit, but perhaps it din't have a prayer!

Vienna by Ultravox- held off number one by Joe Dolce, travesty!
Hi 10 - Yeah, Manchester rap by the Bosnians! xxx
The Lotus Eaters, had a no 15 position with 'The First Picture of You' in 1983. It was brilliant... just biding my time til some crappy band cover it and ruin its simplicity.

Radiohead.....creep

Starsailor.... in the crossfire

aerosmith.... dont want to miss a thing!! (prob top of he shoulda made it list)

Tears for Fears ... Head over heels. The intro to that is one of the best ever.
mine is Vienna by Ultravox too, one of the best songs ever kept from number one by one of the worst ever
The Tide Is Turning (After Live Aid) by Roger Waters.

I was convinced it would be No. 1 Christmas '87, but it never made the Top 40. Unbelievable.
Mine was Soultrain by Swansway 7" version
That was meant to be the 12" version lol
