singin' in the shower

Why is it we sing in the shower as apposed to the bath? My daughter would like to know. Do some of you sing in the bath and prefer it to the shower? Are the acoustics better when showering? What is your preferred song for scrubbing to ?

Maybe the vocal range is better when standing rather than lying?

upbeat gay anthems are my faves, anything from the divas, I like to shower, you cant really sing in the bath if you are relaxing.

I last sang "world in motion" (new order) when I had a shower!! not a gay anthem but I had the tune in my head!!

At the Ideal Home Exhibition there is a shower, not yet on the market, with a microphone attachment that actually changes your voice to make it appear as if you can sing

I think singing in the shower is more popular because you can use the shower head as a mic LOL, or the shower gel bottle

For me:

Shower = funtional, everyday, needs to be done quick so I sing to get myself motivated.

Bath = candles, calming music, total relaxation hence no need.

I always seem to find myself singing Fiona Apple or Rufus Wainwright, dont know why. Would love that gadget tho that makes you sound good, i sound like a cat in a tin can, despite singing lessons!

Blimey medicated I was singing along to Fiona Apple in the shower this morning, cannot hit those high notes though dammit!
I rarely sing in the shower but I do sing when I'm in public and I've got my Ipod on, sort of get carried away and start grooving a bit too.

me too HB, i sing at work, really loudly and i don't care who hears it. There should be more of this happiness in the world! Fiona Apple is amazing tho!

I do like Martha, she seems an odd one but then so do Bjork and Kate Bush and they are also brill. Why are the best artists always under acknowledged? Is it better that way? Sometimes I think so.
