If we have priests, why can`t we have priestesses? Another thought ......why are all religions run by men? Damn, I could go on and on .......what if God is a woman!

I went to Rochester cathedral and saw ornate carving that - had had it's face chiseled off....! Apparently it was chiseled off during the reformation...as the archeangel carving had a womans face....insecure male ego or what???!!!


PS - I believe that God is neither Male NOR Female - He/She just "is". I think maybe that the reason why the bible talks about god being a "he" is because in those ancient days women had very little rights and power....and who would've listened to God if they thought it was a female back then?

Further, not all religions are run by men, in fact some religions are predominantly female (thinking of Wicca as an example).

As for female God - there are thousands of male and female gods and goddesses, but I believe the godhead is above such trivial things as sexual identity.
