8 months on............

Its been 8 months now since the smoking ban hit our pubs.My local pub put up a canvass tent affair �99.99 from Argos I wouldnt wonder. Had to take it down due to neighbours complaining of its tackiness. The landlady has not done one thing to brighten the place not even a lick of paint anywhere. The last time it was decorated was 2003.You can imagine how utterley filthy dirty it is now looks, and importantly the upholstery curtains etc stink of very old stale smoke. Any other boozers suffering the same fate. In case anyone thinks Im whinging ,I am a smoker myself.Shes in denial, doesnt realise shes running the pub into the ground loosing customers by the day.Its my only pub within walking distance and its making me and my friends very unhappy.

We decorated our pub just after the smoking ban so inside it looks nice and fresh. Wasn't allowed to put up anything outside so the smoking area isn't up to much, just have to stand under a shelter or go out the front and get wet.
The buisness has suffered a lot from it tho, still get the regulars who wouldn't let a hurricane stop them coming in the pub but overall the profits have taken a mojor dip. This might not be just because of the smoking ban tho, it could be because the landlord is a miserable, rude, old twerp!!
