Hmm - when i was dating years ago before I got married i'd never dated a virgin so i dunno what my reaction would be.
My brother is a born again christian and he and his wife were both virgins when they married - he was 31! She was 26! I think well done to them, (needless to say they had a really quick engagement - about three months...cos they both were sure they wouldn't be able to resist temptation for ever!) He says it was hard (okay no pun intended) but they are both very glad of their choices.
Ps - they are happily married and still at it like bunnies seven years later!
Both me and my partner were virgins when we got together. Okay, I was only 16, so it was fair enough. But he was 21. We have a perfectly good sex life.
I think I preferred it this way, rather than someone who'd had plenty of history with women. 1 or 2 sexual partners is okay. Anymore would've been too much too handle.
Either party I feel would be under too much pressure to perform and do well.
And I would find someone with quite a few sexual partners a bit easy. Man or woman.
I would admire their honesty over something which carries a big social stigma. Is it a big deal that a person has never had sex. I've never bungee jumped.
