what things did you used to think when you were a kid that was stupid?

for example i thought 'To Let' signs were really mispelt or the 'i' had been stolen from 'toilet' signs

i was a dippy blonde then too!

Remember woodchip wallpaper?

As i kid I has that in my bedroom, and when I went to bed I used to love to pick the bits of wood out from it. One night I couldn't sleep and went on a bit of rampage and proceeded to do an entire wall. My mum went mental when she saw it in the morning and on asking me what happened I told her that as I was looking at the wall, the woodchips "fell off"......I genuinely expected her to believe me, and was stunned when she didn't.

I got such a walloping for it too :-(

When we drove past roadworks there were little marker posts that were shaped like a cross or a capital T, I thought that was where the people digging the road had died and been buried.

on the old hp brown sauce bottles it used to read suggestions to have it with...like ...eggs chips chicken...my brother for years actually thought they were the ingredients,,,duh.

When I was 6 we visited relatives who lived in England (we're form Edinburgh) and I didn't realise that you lot speak English so I asked my friends what English people sounded like and one of them said that they talk like "Parker" and "Mi lady" from Thunderbirds.
And one night during a power cut, my old Dad used a torch to see where he was going in the house, I thought the Mysterons from Captain Scarlet were coming to get me
