Any advice would be great, I went shopping with step daughter she dresses as a Goth youknow the red lipstick all over her mouth and the thick black eye makeup..... the black dress and the upside down cross!

Lot people staired at her and some younger girls took the **** but pointing at her and calling her mystic mag etc etc.. one girl said "oh **** whats this"" there could have been a fight easliy I am so worried what should I do??

worried about what? her choice of style, the risk of someone having a go?

do you not think she realises this and yet still chooses the EMO style of dress? Part of growing up for many is making yourself stand out from the crowd, in her case by wearing black. Whatever she chose to wear they will be those who critisise, its teenage life.

When there was all the fuss a few back about two goths not being let on a bus, i heard a quote from a high up policeman who said if you want your kids to stay out of trouble - encourage them to become a goth!
When was the last time you saw a gang of goths on a street corner, drinking and causing trouble? They tend to be quieter and stay in their room a lot.
Yes there will always be idiots who will laugh at your daughter for the way she dresses. She probably thinks they look ridiculous in return but hopefully will have the maturity and good sense not to sink to their level but will just ignore them and keep walking.

she is 21 years old. not a teenager. She' svery prety girl but why people have to be so crule. and your right she does'nt even drink or hang around. she just looks very scarey. LOL

most kids have the ability to be cruel, perhaps even she could be thought of as being cruel to someone at some time.

At 21 im sure she is perfectly capable of avoiding trouble and not letting some young girls upset her. If she was genuinely hurt by their comments then she could change her image. Sounds as if she strong willed enough not to want to.

I suspect your Sd simply smiles inside, revels in her diferentness, and couldn;t cre less iof anyone thinks she looks a mess.

Personally - as a 53-year-old grandad, i think she sounds amazing, and i would certainly look tiwce, not because i trhink she loooks odd or freaky, but because i will probably find her beautiful.

she is lovely - but you know the fact the long black hair the black cat... black room.... spiders webs designs and the cats pictures... not to mention the666 - and then she claims to hear voices. her cat is bit starnge but then all cats are. LOL you would find her mystery attractive i guess but its nothard to think that devil has a part to play.

My daughter was a goth. Painted her bedroom window frames black, she left home three years ago, they're still black! Must get round to painting them! xxx

Yip I painted my whole bedroom black when my mum was at work lol I also had candles and incense and nailed (yes nailed) a blacket over the window.
Dont worry about it, she sounds like a woman who has confidence to be whatever she wants, good on her!
