Oh congratulations and so glad that your little one is doing well now, you can only do what you feel is right, I have lost touch with the legislation these days on maternity leave, but maybe you should check out your options and take each week as it comes. Focus on baby and worry about work later. well done anyway, is he gaining weight ok?
shaylee, I'm sure by the time May arrives you will be feeling alot more relaxed about leaving baby. When I had my son I felt exactly the same way. Everyting will be fine hun.
Congratulations and try not to worry xXx
Many congratulations I am so jealous! By the time May comes around you will probably have settled into a routine and feel more confident, things have a way of working out, grab any offer of help and enjoy being a new Mum!
Awww.....it must always be a wrench for mums going back to work. Congratulations by the way - and I think Dot spoke very wisely.
hi there shaylee. well done and its lovely being with your brand new baby,
my baby came 7 weeks early and this was taken into account by my employer, so tecnicaly i had 8 months mat leave.
you can phone your employer to clarify your situation. in regards to me my mat pay only covered me for the 6 months not the 8 i had.
the best thing to do would be to phone your HR dept. as new legislation is put in place frequently and your best to keep your self right. best of luck!! radio

I know im entitled to 9 months maternity leave from work, and an extra 3 on top of that but its unpaid.... but like all the sound advice you have given me, ill just take it one week at a time.
