I am thinking of getting a Trackball mouse (scroll wheel etc) because i don't have much space for a mouse. Question is, are they harder to use than a mouse , or will it become second nature ? Also, will I find after using it for a while that i will be able to navigate the net etc just as quickly and easily ? Cheers

I gave up on mice years ago, and the only time that I am ever tempted to use one is for gaming (and I rarely use my PC for games, so that isn't often). A definite vote for trackballs from me.

Thumbs up from me too. I use mine for first person shooters as well as normal stuff, and honestly think they are more precise than traditional mice (or is that mouses?)

Takes a while to get the hang of, but you'll be there in no time. I have a mouse at work and a trackball at home, and have no trouble switching between the two - it soon because second nature.

My laptop has a trackerball built in underneath the keyboard and I find it very easy to use, although somethings click-and-dragging proves a problem (have to use two hands). This may be due to the design, I don't know if desktop trackerballs have found a way round this.
