In my home town of Liverpool, the narrow Back Entry between the Back Yards of old houses is known as 'THE JIGGER'....I understand that in Manchester it is 'THE GINNEL'..Is there a different name for this where you come from ?

Hi Guys, Little did I realise what a Hornets Nest I would stir up by asking this simple question. I have not enjoyed myself so much for a long time reading you lot. All this from a Back Jigger !...AS AN ADD ON, When I was a little lad in Liverpool, a CAT (or MOGGIE) was called a JIGGER RABBIT...Now I bet that has got you lot ready & poised for an even L-O-N-G-E-R thread !!.Good Luck to each & every one of you, from Kenny....& THANK YOU ALL
