Wireless connection as well as wired?

We currently have two PC's connected to the Internet via a wireless modem router (with ethernet cables). I'm not very good at the whole network aspect of computers, but got it set up fine. We now have a laptop with wireless enabled, and so ideally would like to set the router up so that we can get the Internet wirelessly on that. If I start trying to set up a wireless connection, am I likely to go and mess up what is already set up regarding the wired connection with the two PC's? Or should I be able to set up the wireless connection (well, try to..) without it affecting the wired connections?

Any thoughts before I give it a go would be great, thanks...

Go ahead, you won't affect the other two. Remember, though, to set up the security for your wireless connection to keep out 'prying eyes'.
It will be no problem at all if you connect the laptop to the router by ethernet first.

You can unplug the laptop after you have made your wireless secure, and the laptop will have the 'matched' settings already.
