Hi Drisgirl - you asked me to let you know where I'm off to & I had a really hard job getting anything over New Year so it has had to be 4th Jan - off the Mombasa coast in Kenya & plan to do some game drives as well as grabbing a bit of sun. Wish you had been coming with me it would have cost half as much cos' I had to pay for the whole cost of a twin room for myself!! Everyone is telling me I'm always on holiday - I only got back from China on 23/11 - but I don't consider them holidays I consider it travelling to see the world!Anyway I'm semi retired now & want to make the most of it.

O BTW -you just keep enjoying yourself - you cant take it with you and that is my goal as well -to appreciate all sorts of different cultures which I wouldnt have when I was younger.Have fun !!!

Well Drisgirl I'm sure you've been watching the news about Kenya - my holiday was cancelled. I should have flown out today but due to the present situation in Kenya & the Foreign Office advising against travel there all holiday flights have been cancelled at the moment.

I was rather glad in the end that they cancelled and returned my money because up to Thursday morning, although I didn't want to go and have to be a prisoner in the hotel grounds, I would have lost �850 if I had cancelled!!!

So here I am stuck in London until I can find somewhere else to go and as I have to do some work in mid Jan, I can't get away now until end Feb or early March.
