Does anyone know why I can't seem to get Gravy Browning any more? I know it doesn't add any taste but it certainly makes the gravy look more appetising. As soon as I find out where I can get it, I think I'll get a couple. Maybe there is another alternative for making the gravy look darker

My local asda had some in yesterday cause it was next to the ham stock cubes that i was buying.
Seems that granules are taking over but I did find some C & B gravy browning in Sainsburys and Asda said they'd order it if I wanted. I don't use it very often so bought 4 bottles-should last a lifetime!
My local Tesco has original Bisto.
Ahhhhh bisto !!!!
if you just want to colour a gravy, especially a lamb gravy, that is if you are making proper gravey as lamb gravy can look quite pale, just use half an oxo cube to give it some colour it wont affect the taste.if its beef use a full one.depending on how many ou are making it for
my asda sells the small bottles of it too, made by cross and blackwell.
I have a bottle. Mine is made by Grace.
I bought some proper Bisto in Asda on Saturday.
Sorry, but i've seen it in all the supermarkets round here.

Thanks for all your replies. I managed to get it from a spar that I was passing yesterday. They have even removed the shelf labels now from Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco in my area
Lewisham is totally dry of browning - managed to order some at www.britsuperstore.com - need to order a few bottles to cover postage.
In these parts (Devon & Cornwall) Sainsbury's & Tesco seem to have stopped keeping it but all Somerfields & Morrisons have it still. Obviously not a volume seller.
