does anybody know how to make the yogurt sauce that accompanies samosas at the curry house its yellow/gold in colour

How to Make Tzatziki
Tzatziki is a cucumber yogurt sauce which can also be served as an appetizer or dip. It goes great over Gyros or simply all by itself.

Steps
Gather together the ingredients listed below.
Peel cucumbers and slice long wise.
Using a spoon, remove all the cucumber seeds.
Shred cucumber and drain with sieve to remove excess liquid.
Remove outer skin from garlic, separate into cloves and peel.
Using sieve with a coffee filter, drain yogurt for about 15 minutes for each coffee filter full. (You will get about 1/2 container of yogurt in a coffee filter)
Place together in a large stainless steel mixing bowl: shredded cucumber, drained yogurt, salt, pepper and olive oil.
Juice lemons and add to mixture.
Press garlic cloves over the mixture making sure to include all the garlic juices.
Beat mixture with a whisk or large spoon until all ingredients are totally mixed.
Cover mixing bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 to 3 hours before serving. This gives the garlic a chance to really unleash its' flavor.

TipsYou may adjust the amount of salt and pepper to your taste.
Use plain yogurt, not vanilla or any other flavor.
You may want to add less garlic also depending on your taste.
You may also wish to add finely minced onions, dill, mint or garnish with paprika.
The Tzatsiki tastes even better then next day and will keep for several days when refrigerated.



WarningsMake certain your girlfriend, wife or significant other enjoys some too or their reaction to your breath may not be an enjoyable one.



Things You'll Need
2 32 oz. containers of plain yogurt
4 medium or 2 large cucumbers
2 large fresh lemons
1 head of garlic
6 tbsp extra
6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tbsp fine ground pepper
1/2 tbsp salt
coffee filters
sieve or strainer
grater/shredder
lemon juicer
garlic press

you could put a few saffron strands in hot water to steep and then mix a little of the water with the yoghurt, which will give the yellow colour or simply add some tumeric/haldi to the yoghurt and stir.
yoghurt with some mint sauce added is nice with samosas or any indian snack type of food.

I don't think it is tzatziki.
I believe they call it a mint sauce!

I thought it was natural youghurt with mint sauce in it maybe with some yellow spice for the colour. Tzatziki is very different and greek
I'm with Jack D on this one, plain yogurt, tumeric for colour and I use mint jelly cause I like it sweet.
