Someone has to be there to help dear old grandma up the steps!
There could be another spin on that Legend. I went to that one Midnight Mass as I genuinely wanted to get that whole "Jesus born that day" spiritual thing and try to make it not just about prezzy giving

If other people do that, I don't think they should be sneered at, least they are making at least once concious effort to make the day itself what it really is supposed to be about.

You're still full of cheap jibes legend.
Why shouldn't anyone go to Midnight Mass and enjoy part of the celebration of Christmas, with their family and friends, their beliefs have nothing to do with it.
We all have principles, or should have, but do they take precedence over the people we love?

CDs views on religion are well known, she has never sought to hide them, nor do I think she ever would.
I am not defending her, she is more than capable of doing that herself.

You should take a step back from your daily diatribe on here, then perhaps you would gain more knowledge and understanding of others peoples viewpoints, rather than your own.

More often than not, you use this site to launch verbal abuse at people, for no reason whatsoever, maybe you get an adrenaline rush, I don't know, but it leaves you looking more disturbed than reasoned.
At 28, I consider myself an adult, able to say no and able to make my own choices. However, every Christmas I wear an awful jumper given to me by my nan, so as not to hurt her feelings. I also go and see a whole heap of films at the cinema with her that I would never normally go and see becuase I like doing things with her that make her happy. It's the same reason I went to see Transformers, to see my kids doing something they enjoy. It's about doing things for others, give and take etc and if she doesn't believe in Christmas as an athiest at least she is entering into the spirit of things by being kind and unselfish.

Why can't China be with her mum at midnight mass when her mum feels it's something special. I personally, like church at Christmas, it's geared towards kids, I know all the songs and it's all about happiness.
